NFC contracted the design, equipment and material supply, steel structure of plant building, technical assistance, personnel training, equipment commissioning, put-into operation and after service for the project.

The plant, with a capacity of 13000-14000 t/a high-carbon ferro-chrome and 15000-18000 t/a high-carbon ferro-manganese, was built in 1990 and was completed in 1995. The main process is raw material burdening station feeding system electric furnace smelting casting-finishing crushing-packing. Two 12500 kva semi-closed electric furnace, PLC automatic and hand-made control system are used for control of production technology.

The project adopts dry precipitator system in environment protection, U-type cooler decreasing temperature and bag precipitator for emission to reach the requirements of the environment protection. In addition strict operating rules are made for safe production, technical measures are taken for production process and equipment so as to ensure production safety.
